14th May update

This week has been something of a whirlwind.....

On Friday, I flew to Dublin to attend the www.lifelastingsuccess.com event which was organised by fellow property investor, Gary McGeown. In the past, I have helped Gary build his ‘Scottish’ portfolio and know that he is a very dedicated, forward thinking individual who is passionate about empowering others. During this downturn in the property market, Gary has turned his attention to organising events in Ireland that are attracting some of the top names in Property Investment, Stock Market Trading, Internet Marketing and Personal Development.

The whole event was exceptional with presentations by these top marketers:

Mark Victor Hansen - www.markvictorhansen.com
Peter Lawless - www.3r.ie
Owen O’Malley – www.ticn.com
Steven McGeown - www.powerteamni.com/steven-mcgeown
Mark Anastasi - www.mark-anastasi.com
Pat Slattery - www.patslattery.com
Matt Bacak - www.mattbacak.com
Armand Morin - www.armandmorin.com
Chris Guerriero - www.christopherguerriero.com/christopher_guerriero.htm
Tom Hua - www.tomhua.com
Simon Zutshi - www.propertyinvestorsnetwork.co.uk

I made some excellent new connections, many of whom have already been in touch and are keen to work with me in the coming months.

With this in mind, I would like to get your feedback on what subjects are of interest to you and, if the demand is high enough, I will invite the best in the market to come to Scotland and speak to you personally. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey.

This Friday, I will be having lunch in Glasgow with a very unique group of people who are members of my Mastermind Group. We started meeting up last year and, to date have enjoyed helping each other in lots of ways. I love the idea that there is a special group who I can trust and count on for reliable and helpful information and I would encourage anyone who is already in business or thinking of setting up their own business or launching a new career to make a list of the people within their current network that they feel would offer them support.
One of the biggest challenges an entrepreneur has to deal with can be feelings of isolation when the going gets tough and there is no-one you can turn to. As someone who works alone most of the time, I know the benefit of having that special group or person to turn to when I want to share some of my ideas and or concerns about a particular matter.

If you like this idea and need some help getting started, watch out for a detailed explanation of how to set up your own Mastermind Group in next week's Monthly Newsletter!

Mark and his team at Intelligent Land Investments intend to take several wind farm sites forward this year through the planning process.

Check out the new section on Renewable Energy.

Everything is going to plan with the Glenboig and Cumbernauld sites.

I have recently teamed up with Owen O'Malley of TICN Ltd to introduce the new Richbrits Investment Club If you are interested in finding out more or indeed becoming part of my ALL FEMALE club (sorry guys!), email me straight away and I'll help you get started. This Club for anyone interested in learning about the Stock Market in a 'safe' environment.

Owen has many years experience as a trader and a trainer his accredited Investment Training Programme ... take a look at this link www.tinyurl.com/TICN-Intro

TICN is an education and support organisation, who work with investment clubs and individuals to make wise investment decisions. Find out more here www.ticn.com.

PS I was only kidding guys!! I will be running an all female club as an experiment and, as club membership is restricted to 20, including myself, I am happy to set up one for the boys as well. So, if you fancy making some money from the stock market within the security of an Investment Club, then email me...clare@richbrits.co.uk putting TICN in the Subject box.

On Tuesday, I attended the funeral of my neighbours' little 5 year old boy Cameron who passed away a week ago today.
Cameron was born with a very rare genetic disorder and his family knew from very early on that his time with them would be very short.
Although he was constantly connected to an oxygen supply... attended Yorkhill Hospital for Sick Kids twice a week for blood transfusions... and was close to death several times over the past few years, he greeted everyone with the biggest smile!
When he was well - which was most of the time - he was a happy smiling child and got himself into the usual scrapes that most kids do... sudocream on his hair to make it spikey... giggling loudly as he soaked everyone during bathtimes... blowing kisses to everyone when he said goodbye etc.
The love and care that was shown to him by his proud mum and dad, his grandparents and extended family and friends was returned a hundredfold and one of the best memories we all hold of him was the day Ewen McGregor rode up to Robin House in Balloch on his motorbike during the filming of 'Long Way Down' during which he raised awareness of CHAS, the Childrens Hospice Association Scotland.
Little Cameron was chosen to be the face of CHAS in an advertising campaign with Ewen, who spent much of his visit being photographed with Cameron, reading to him and helping Rebecca blow out the candles on her 7th birthday cake .... on 13th May last year!!
I have been inspired by the courage and strength of his parents, Debbie and Hamish, who cared for him with the utmost love and care. They readily admit that they are both stronger people for the experience.
So, next time you feel a little disgruntled with what life seems to be throwing at you...the credit crunch...cashflow problems... and especially if you have children yourself, stop and think whether your cares and concerns are really that bad... perhaps this inspirational movie will help you to feel more gratitude... www.thedashmovie.com..... then go give your kids a hug!!

If you haven’t yet taken advantage of the offer of FREE very practical books, then I would urge you to do so now. I have personally found the information in these books to be of tremendous help over the past 10 days. See link
