There are Millions of Millionaires in the US. The number of millionaires in the UK however is less than 300,000 and recent falls in property prices will still be affecting these numbers negatively. I know that the population of America is much higher, but so is their attitude to success. Everybody wants to be a millionaire, but in order to do so (or even get near), we have to get off our assets and look for new ways to achieve that goal. According to The Sunday Times this week, "with property prices near to bottoming out, we would expect the number of millionaires to start to rise again in 2011." Well, as many property investors have learned recently, it doesn't pay to have all your eggs in one basket! Remember... RECESSION = OPPORTUNITY... and opportunities abound!

Are Scottish Widows having a laugh?

I thought this looked good until I saw the interest being offered…. Guaranteed no less that 0.25% BELOW the BoE base rate which is currently 0.50%.
